Former India captain MS Dhoni and legendary West Indies opener Chris Gayle met each other in Dubai on Monday. Dhoni had reached the stadium in Dubai with the team as the mentor of the team. The pictures of his match with Gayle were tweeted by BCCI. The Indian team was to play a warm-up match against England there.
BCCI shared the photo and wrote, “Two legends. A memorable moment. When Dhoni and Gayle met. Team India. T20 World Cup.”
The Indian team will start its T20 World Cup 2021 campaign against Pakistan on 24 October. Windies Cricket also shared some photos from its Twitter handle, in which West Indies coach Phil Simmons, Team India coach Ravi Shastri and former Australian batsman Matthew Hayden were seen. Matthew Hayden has joined the coaching staff of Pakistan for the T20 World Cup.

Talking about the preparations of the Indian cricket team, the team’s head coach Ravi Shastri says that the players coming to the UAE playing IPL do not need much preparation for the T20 World Cup. India defeated England by seven wickets in the warm-up match played on Monday. Shastri says that these matches will help in maintaining India’s momentum.
