Utpal Parrikar said that the kind of politics that is happening in Goa, I cannot tolerate it. This is not acceptable to me. Utpal Parrikar asked the BJP whether the party believes in honesty and character or not? The only criterion is ability to win (and that) integrity doesn’t matter?
Former Union Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal Parrikar on Thursday hit out at the BJP leadership in Goa, saying he would not keep quiet if the BJP gives sitting MLA Atanasio Monserrate a party ticket for the Panaji constituency. Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said on Wednesday that the party cannot give ticket to anyone for the February 14 Goa Assembly elections just because he is the son of a politician. His comment was seen as a reference to Utpal Parrikar. Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal is keen to contest from the seat represented by his father for more than 25 years.
