The special thing is that the first indigenous attack helicopter of the Indian Air Force, LCH, will be deployed in Jodhpur close to the border. On Monday, the Light Combat Helicopter was formally inducted into the Air Force in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. LCH has been named as Prachanda.
Speaking on the occasion, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the LCS is capable of carrying various types of ammunition and delivering them quickly, while dodging the enemies. This LCH fully meets the requirements of our Armed Forces in various terrains. In such a situation, LCH is an ideal platform for both our Army and Air Force.
Name is light but work is heavy
The Defense Minister said that the name of this LCH is definitely Light but the work is heavy. I was told that the LCH has been designed and developed to suit the needs of the modern battlefield. In its development phase, it has shown its ability to meet various challenges in various types of testing. He said that during the Kargil war in the year 1999, its need was felt seriously. LCH is the result of two decades of research and development. Its inclusion in the Indian Air Force is going to prove to be a milestone.
