2 jawans of Jharkhand Jaguar unit martyred in encounter with Naxalites, police informed

Two soldiers of the Jaguar unit were martyred in an encounter with Maoists yesterday evening in Tonto of West Singhbhum. This has been confirmed by Chaibasa Police. A sub-inspector and a constable were among the martyred security forces.

DGP Ajay Kumar Singh confirmed.

The DGP of Jharkhand said that our operation against the Naxalites was already underway. The Naxalites there are fighting the last battle of their existence. We are using all kinds of tactics. We got a lot of success in this, but two of our comrades were martyred in the encounter that took place the previous day.

He added that both the constables were part of the Jaguar unit. One was a sub-inspector and the other a constable.

There was an encounter a few days ago.

Four days ago, on August 11, an encounter took place in the same area. This encounter took place with a Naxalite named Masir Besar. A reward of around one crore has been set for this naxal. A CRPF 60 battalion soldier was also martyred in the encounter on August 11.
