A major decision of the Union Cabinet, 100 cities will get 10,000 buses under the PME bus service

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet has taken a major decision keeping in mind the interests of the people. 100 cities will get 10,000 buses under PME bus service. Union Minister Anurag Thakur gave this information. He said that Rs 57,613 crore will be spent for PME bus service keeping in view green mobility for Indian cities. 1000 electric buses will be provided to 100 cities. He said that the number of cities with a population of 3 lakh to 4 million is 169, out of which 100 cities will be selected.

He said that this bus will be run on PPP mode and the scheme will be operational by 2037. Out of Rs 57,613 crore, Rs 20,000 crore will be given to the central government and the rest to the state government.

Vishwakarma scheme was also approved.

Union Minister Ashwini Vishnu said that the Vishwakarma scheme has been approved by the Union Cabinet today. During this time the focus will be on skill development. It includes basic and advanced skills. A daily stipend of Rs 500 will also be given during this time. A loan of up to Rs.1 lakh will be given in the first phase and up to Rs.2 lakh in the second phase for doing business up to Rs.1 lakh. Ashwini Vishnu informed that the Union Cabinet has also approved seven multi-tracking projects of Indian Railways.

Apart from this, 70 thousand crores have been helped under Swaandhi Yojana and 4.2 lakh people have benefited from it. 3 million families will be helped under Vishwakarma Yojana. One family member has been helped. 14,903 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion of Digital India.
