‘There should be no politics in times of disaster’, Anurag Thakur criticizes CM Sukhu over Bihari Mason’s statement

Anurag Thakur said that many lives have been lost and infrastructure damaged in Himachal Pradesh (due to rain, landslides). He said that this disaster has created a serious crisis. On the Chief Minister’s statement, he said that there is no reason to humiliate the people of Bihar.

The opposition attacked the Congress government after Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu referred to “Bihari architects” while talking about the widespread destruction in the state. Sukhu, however, clarified his statement today, but he has come under fire from the opposition. Union Minister Anurag Thakur also targeted him. Anurag Thakur said that many lives have been lost and infrastructure damaged in Himachal Pradesh (due to rain, landslides). He said that this disaster has created a serious crisis. On the Chief Minister’s statement, he said that there is no reason to humiliate the people of Bihar. Everyone has to work together.

The center is helping.

Anurag Thakur said that it is unfortunate that some parties, especially the Congress, are playing politics on it. I appeal to them to stop politics and work together in this hour of crisis. The central government is providing all possible help. He further said that he will visit Himachal Pradesh on August 20-21 and meet the affected people. In an exclusive interview with The Indian Express, the Chief Minister said that architects from outside are coming to the state and building floor upon floor without using scientific methods. “The migrant architects (masons), whom I call ‘Bihari architects’, come here and build floor upon floor. We don’t have local masons,” the chief minister said. However, now a controversy has started over it.

Terming the comment on the people of Bihar as unfortunate and unnecessary, Thakur said, “We should work together in times of calamity. Commenting on criticism will not work. Dragging the people of Bihar into it for no reason. And it is right to denigrate them. “Not there.” Thakur appealed to all political parties and social organizations to come together in relief and rescue work and said, “Let us all come together and help each other. Avoid speaking in different tones and focus on the relief work.”

Cleanliness of the Chief Minister

After the matter escalated, now the Chief Minister has also given an explanation. He said that I did not say anything like that. The people of Bihar were also trapped here. I took them out in a helicopter. About 200 people from Bihar are still stranded here. They are like our brothers. It’s our structural engineering fault, they’re just workers. Sukhu highlighted the indiscriminate construction and its impact on the fragile ecosystems of the hills. He pointed out that the lack of scientific planning and drainage system in many newly constructed buildings has led to their instability.
