New Delhi: India’s light fighter jet Tejas achieved a major success on Wednesday. The fighter jet successfully test-fired the Air-to-Air (BVR) Missile ‘ASTRA’ off the coast of Goa. Make sure the missile is invisible and hits the target accurately. Shortly thereafter, India became the first country to land a spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon, and with it the compatriots rejoiced.

Officials said the missile was fired from an aircraft at an altitude of about 20,000 feet. “The Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas LSP-7 was test-fired the visual range air-to-air missile ‘ASTRA’ off the coast of Goa on August 23,” the Ministry of Defense said. The ministry said that all objectives of the trial have been met. The launch was overseen by test directors and scientists from Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Center for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC) and Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated ADA, DRDO, CEMILC, DG-AQA on the successful test of the missile from Tejas-LCA. He said that this launch will significantly increase the combat capability of the Tejas and reduce the dependence on imported weapons. India received a very good news shortly after Chandrayaan 3 made history by making a soft landing on the surface of the moon. This achievement of India is also special because it has become the first country to land its spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon.
