Go First employees get relief! The company has given this big gift ahead of Raksha Bandhan.

Go to the first update: Airlines company GoFirst, which has been struggling financially for a long time, has given a big relief to its employees ahead of the festival. According to a report published in CNBC TV 18, the company has paid the June salary to the employees ahead of Raksha Bandhan and Ganpati festival. It is to be noted that the company has paid the salary of the employees after securing funding from various lenders. Recently GoFirst received Rs 100 crore from various lenders.

Earlier, GoFirst had already announced that it would only use the money for employee salaries, parking, airport charges, insurance premiums and flight maintenance.

All flights will remain canceled till August 31.

Earlier, debt-ridden GoFirst has canceled all its flights till August 31, 2023. The company tweeted on social media platform X to inform that due to operational reasons, the airline has canceled all its flights till August 31, 2023. It is worth noting that GoFirst had decided to cancel all its flights on May 3. In July 2023, the company received permission to operate from DGCA. DGCA had allowed the company to operate 15 aircraft and 114 flights per day, but so far the company has not been able to operate its flights. The company got this permission after availability of interim funds and approval of flight schedule.

500 pilots quit.

Earlier, CNBC TV18 reported that 500 of GoFirst’s 600 pilots have joined other airlines. Several employees working in the positions of pilots, cabin crew members, aircraft maintenance engineers etc. have submitted their resignations to the company.
