What’s the whole deal?
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has taken this action in the case of Skesh, who allegedly ran a criminal gang from Rohini Jail. Investigation is being conducted against 8 jail officials in this case. Let me tell you that earlier last year, the Lt. Governor had authorized an investigation against 81 other prison officers for aiding and abetting Sash for financial gain.
1.5 Crore expenses per month
It is alleged that fraudster Skesh Chandrasekhar used to spend up to Rs 1.5 crore every month to get unhindered use of mobile phones and separate barrack facilities in jail. It is alleged that some prison officials had provided the required facilities to Sakesh for the lure of money.
8 officials are in jail.
Eight prison officers are behind bars for helping Chandrasekhar. They include two Jail Superintendents, three Deputy Jail Superintendents and three Assistant Jail Superintendents. All of them are accused of facilitating the imprisonment of Sash in exchange for money and allowing him to use mobile phones in prison. According to the report, all this work was done by Sukesh from Barrack No. 204 of Ward No. 3 of Rohini Jail No. 10. (input language)
