Crude oil prices drop, petrol and diesel cheaper from Noida to Prayagraj

Petrol-Diesel Prices on 16 October 2023: New prices of petrol and diesel have been fixed in the country. Petrol and diesel prices have changed from Noida to Bihar as per the new rates of oil companies. Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and diesel remained stable in the national capital.

A liter of petrol in New Delhi costs Rs 96.72 and diesel costs Rs 89.62. In Mumbai, petrol is selling at Rs 106.31 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre, while in Chennai petrol is selling at Rs 102.74 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.33 per litre. Meanwhile, in Kolkata, petrol is being sold at Rs 106.03 and diesel at Rs 92.76 per litre.

Decline in crude oil prices

During the war between Israel and Palestine, the price of crude oil saw a sharp rise, but today its price has come down. WTI crude oil is trading at $85.94 a barrel, down 0.47%. While branded crude oil was trading at $90.47 per barrel, down 0.36%. The decline in crude oil prices comes after several days of gains.

Petrol and diesel became cheaper in these cities.

In Noida and Greater Noida, the price of petrol has decreased by 8 paise to Rs 96.92 per liter and the price of diesel has decreased by 6 paise to Rs 90.08 per litre. In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the price of petrol has decreased by 12 paise to Rs 96.35 per liter and the price of diesel has decreased by 11 paise to Rs 89.55 per litre. In Gorakhpur, petrol price has decreased by 11 paise to Rs 96.81 per liter and diesel price has decreased by 10 paise to Rs 89.99 per litre. In Prayagraj, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.52 per litre, down by 14 paise and diesel by 13 paise at Rs 89.73 per litre.

Fuel prices have gone up here.

In Varanasi, the price of petrol has increased by 60 paise to Rs 97.49 per liter and diesel by 59 paise to Rs 90.67 per litre. In Rajasthan’s Ajmer, petrol price has increased by 37 paise to Rs 108.54 and diesel price has increased by 34 paise to Rs 93.78 per litre. Talking about Bihar’s Patna, a liter of petrol is being sold at Rs 107.54 per liter by 30 paise and diesel by 28 paise to Rs 94.32 per litre.
