The Israeli bombardment of Gaza has caused outrage all over the world. Angry with the Israeli attack on Gaza, Islamic people are targeting Jews living in different parts of the world. A similar case has also been reported in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise in Germany due to the violent conflict between Israel and Hamas in West Asia. A synagogue in Berlin was attacked with a petrol bomb in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The distraught Jisroel community said two bombs were thrown at its synagogue.

The police have confirmed the incident of petrol bomb attack on the Jewish synagogue. “Unknown persons threw two petrol bombs from the road,” the community wrote in a post on social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). Dozens of police officers were seen investigating the scene on Wednesday morning. Germany’s leading Jewish group said two people were involved in the attack, but did not provide further details. “We are all shocked by this terrorist attack,” the Central Council of Jews said in a statement.

Hamas has vowed to destroy every Jew.

“Hamas’ ideology of exterminating every Jew is having an effect in Germany as well.” The Kahal Adas Jisroel community building complex in central Berlin houses a synagogue, a kindergarten, a yeshiva school, and a community center. Following the brutal Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 and the resulting war in Gaza, police have increased security at Jewish institutions in Berlin and across Germany. The situation in Germany is such that the Israeli flag, which is flown in front of city halls as a symbol of solidarity, has been torn down and burned all over the country. (AP)
