Bhopal: PM Modi will attend a function on the 125th foundation day of Scindia School today. The 125th Foundation Day of Scindia School in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is being celebrated. Scindia School was established in 1897 by the then Gwalior royal family and is located in the historic Gwalior Fort. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the multi-purpose sports complex at the school and present annual awards to distinguished alumni and high achievers.
PM Modi will reach Gwalior Airport at 4.30 pm.
PM Modi will also address a gathering on this occasion. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyoti Radtia Scindia is a scion of the former royal family and is one of the prominent politicians of Madhya Pradesh. Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held on November 17. Prime Minister Modi will arrive at Gwalior Airport around 4.30 pm and will go to the school by helicopter.
Welcome with Cavalry and Band
A cavalcade will take them to the main campus and they will be greeted with a band performance, school officials said. He said that after meeting the board of directors of the school and other important personalities, the Prime Minister will visit an exhibition. The exhibition will showcase various aspects of the school. He will inaugurate a 3D model of a multi-purpose state-of-the-art sports complex.
Governor and Chief Minister will also be present.
PM Modi will take part in the plantation of Pulkhan, an indigenous type of tree. He said Prime Minister Modi will address a gathering of over 5,000 people, including students’ parents, alumni and other dignitaries, before returning to Delhi around 6.30 pm. Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangobhai C Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Jitendra Singh and others will also attend the event. (input language)
