The domestic stock market got off to a rough start in the first session of the week on Monday. The market again disappointed investors with a start in the red. The Bombay Stock Exchange Index Sensex (BSE Sensex) opened at 65,375.06, down 22.56 points at market opening at 9.15 am. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty was also seen trading down 20.75 points at 19521.90.

Stock at opening

ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, Nestlé India, Bajaj Finsro and Adani Enterprises posted big gains on the Nifty at the market opening, Moneycontrol reports. While Kotak Mahindra Bank, Grasom Industries, Ultra Tech Cement, TCS and Cipla were seen trading in losses.

The market was in the green at the pre-open.

While the domestic stock market started with a green sign in its pre-opening on Monday morning. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex was seen trading at 65526.91 with a jump of 129.29 points that started just before 9 am. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading at 19701.80 with a sharp gain of 159.15 points in the pre-opening session.

Investors took a big hit last week
Last week, the stock market recorded a big fall. The 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 885.12 points or 1.33 percent. Due to this, all 10 of the top 10 companies in the Sensex suffered heavy losses for investors. The market capitalization of the top 10 Sensex companies declined by a total of Rs 1,52,979.78 crore last week. Global markets are weak due to rising yields on US bonds, global economic uncertainty and ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Experts say that small investors need to trade very carefully.
