New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged people to root out evils like casteism and regionalism in society and said the Dussehra festival should also be seen as a symbol of victory of patriotism over all evils in the country. Addressing a large gathering at Dussehra celebrations here, Modi said it was everyone’s fortune that after centuries of waiting, they were now witnessing the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
He said that it will be completed in a few months and it is a symbol of the victory of people’s patience. Modi attended a function organized on the occasion of Dussehra celebrations in Dwarka. Prime Minister Modi was accorded a traditional welcome on stage at the venue by the organizers. Meanwhile, a large number of people were eagerly waiting to see ‘Lanka Dahan’. Modi was welcomed wearing a shawl. He was also presented with an idol of Ram Darbar and a mace. Citing India’s successful moon mission, inauguration of the new Parliament building and the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Act, the Prime Minister said this was happening amid several important developments.
