Date revealed, Mamaearth’s IPO to be launched on this day, size will be less than Rs 2000 crore

The IPO of childcare brand Mamaearth is set to launch soon. Ghazal Alag’s company was preparing for an IPO for a long time. Now the IPO launch date has been finalized. However, the size of the IPO is going to be much smaller than earlier estimates.

The parent company of Mamaearth brand is Honasa Consumer Private Limited. Ghazal Allagh, who was a judge on the reality show Shark Tank India, and her husband Varun Allagh are the promoters of the company. According to a report by ET, Mamaearth’s IPO is scheduled to begin on October 31. Earlier last week, a Mint report claimed that Mama Earth’s IPO could hit the market before Diwali this year.

Company valuation

A report in Mint said that the valuation of the company in the IPO of Mamma Earth could be 1.2 billion to 1.4 billion dollars i.e. 10 to 12 thousand crore rupees. Mamaearth previously tried to launch an IPO last year, with the company seeking a valuation of more than $3 billion. Mamaearth’s parent company entered the unicorn club in January 2022, when it was valued at $1.2 billion.

At first it was a guess.

The said report also estimated that Mamrath’s IPO size could be around Rs 2,000 crore. An IPO can include both an offer for sale and a fresh issue of shares. The IPO was expected to involve OFS worth Rs 15-16 crore and fresh issue of shares worth around Rs 400 crore. However, the information that has come out now is completely different.

IPO Details

According to an ET report, the IPO may involve a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 365 crore. The sale offer may be for 41.25 million shares. Earlier, there was talk of 46.82 million shares being added to the OFS. The company will do the pre-IPO placement on October 30 and the public issue will close on November 2.
