In the beginning of October, the central government had announced a 4 percent increase in dearness relief and dearness allowance for pensioners and central employees, effective from July 1. After this increase, the relief of pensioners and employees has increased from 42% to 46%. Now in this regard, it has been reported by the Pension Department that when will the increased dearness allowance be received?

Whose DR will increase?

According to DOPPW, civil central government pensioners or family pensioners, defense sector armed forces pensioners and civilian pensioners, All India Service pensioners, railway pensioners, pensioners in receipt of provision pension and some Burmese pensioners in DR. The benefit will be increased. . Apart from this, after the order of the Department of Justice, the retired judge of the Supreme Court can also get the benefit of increase in DR.

How much will the pension increase?

The central government has increased the DR for pensioners by 4%. If the basic pension of the pensioners is Rs 40 thousand then according to 42% DR the inflation relief will be more than Rs 16 thousand. After the new increase, the dearness relief in basic pension will be more than Rs 18 thousand. This means that the pensioners will get a pension of more than 1000 rupees per month.

Banks ordered to release pension immediately

According to the Economic Times report, the government has asked the banks to issue pensions to the pensioners as soon as possible. No need to wait for any instructions.
