The festival of Diwali is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the country. This festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The national capital is also lit up on the evening of Diwali. In Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar and Akshardham Mandir are strewn with colorful lights. Also, air pollution in Delhi on Sunday was also the worst recorded in eight years. However, pollution levels are likely to increase after Diwali due to fireworks.

Delhi’s India Gate is painted in tricolor. It shines from India Gate to Dutva Path.

On the occasion of Diwali, Rashtrapati Bhavan, North Block and South Block are also illuminated with lights. The Rashtrapati Bhawan is decorated in the colors of the tricolor.

Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi is decorated with lights on the occasion of Diwali and Bandi Chur Divas. Devotees light candles and lamps here on this occasion.

The Qutub Minar is also beautifully decorated. The tower is glowing.

Delhi’s Swaminarayan Akshardham temple is also lit up with Diwali lights. The temple premises are lit up with lights.

On the occasion of Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar separately and wished them Diwali. PM Modi also met Vice President Dhankhar.
