The domestic share market got off to a strong start in late Diwali trading. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s benchmark Sensex jumped 415 points as the market opened at 6:15 pm and was seen trading at 65319.88. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was also seen trading at 19535.95 with an increase of 110.60 points. Most of the shares are trading in the green.

All sectors are performing well in today’s special session of the share market. The domestic stock market will close today at 7:15 PM. Today on Diwali, Samvat 2079 is being bid adieu and Samvat 2080 is starting. Investors have high expectations from the new era.

There was also an explosion in pre-market trading.

Both indices were up more than 1% in premarket trading. The stock market had jumped sharply in the pre-opening at 6 p.m. The BSE Sensex then opened with a gain of 645 points, while the NSE Nifty was seen trading at 19646.45 with a strong gain of 221 points.

This tradition of mehurat trading in the stock market on Diwali is more than half a decade old. The Bombay Stock Exchange i.e. BSE started trading in the year 1957, when no one had even thought of online trading. While National Stock Exchange i.e. NSE started it in 1992.
