Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that occurs suddenly in the body. The risk may increase if one of the parents has diabetes. Type 2 diabetes progresses over time. Obesity and lack of exercise are cited as major reasons for this, along with lifestyle and dietary disturbances. Diabetes can occur at any age.
Who is at risk for both diabetes?
Type 1 diabetes is considered less dangerous than type 2 diabetes. The risk of type 1 diabetes is entirely genetic. This disease can spread in children and adolescents. Also, the risk of type 2 diabetes is due to poor lifestyle and eating habits. It can also be aggravated by overweight or obesity, low physical activity and high consumption of processed foods.
Difference between the two diabetes
Both type-1 and type-2 have similar symptoms. Frequent urination, blurred vision, slow healing of cuts or wounds, and more infections than usual are common in diabetes.
Which diabetes is more dangerous?
Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes can cause problems such as heart problems, kidney disease, eye problems, weakening of the nerves and blood vessels. People with type 1 diabetes may need lifelong insulin. The risk of type 2 diabetes can be reduced by improving lifestyle and diet.
