I am an independent person and have taken my own decisions for the past 30 years. Usually after taking any decision, I call him and tell him that I am doing it. Like when I reached Mumbai, I told him that I am going to Mumbai. He asked me, ‘You Mumbai. What will I do?’ I said, ‘I will work in films.’ He asked me, ‘Will it be done?’ I said, ‘Yes, it will.’
My father’s death took the roof off my head.
