New Delhi : The Election Commission has issued a notice to the Delhi BJP over a social media post allegedly targeting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The commission has sent this notice after taking cognizance of the complaint of Aam Aadmi Party. The Aam Aadmi Party had accused him of posting on social media targeting Arvind Kejriwal.

Virendra Sachdeva received notice

The Election Commission has issued a show cause notice to Delhi BJP President Virender Sachdeva. The Aam Aadmi Party had complained to the Election Commission that efforts were being made to tarnish Kejriwal’s image through his statements and social media posts. After which the Election Commission has taken this action.

Accused of tarnishing Kejriwal’s image

The biggest problem facing the Kejriwal government in Delhi after wresting power from the Congress is the Bharatiya Janata Party. Both the parties are considered to be bitter opponents of each other. Never miss an opportunity to target each other. Now in such a situation, the Aam Aadmi Party has filed a complaint with the Election Commission regarding the social media post allegedly targeting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Now the Election Commission has sent a notice to the BJP’s Delhi unit and sought its reply.

In fact, a delegation of Aam Aadmi Party met the Election Commission on Monday. After this meeting, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha said that in such a case, a complaint is first made to the Election Commission and we are sure that the Commission will take notice of our complaint and take appropriate action.
