Talking about last year, in the November-December 2022 wedding season, more than 3.2 lakh weddings took place across the country. During this period, a turnover of around Rs.3.75 lakh crore was done.
Traders expect bumper business this year.
It is noteworthy that traders across the country have made huge profits on Diwali this year. Then, with the wedding season starting from November 23, traders expect a total of over 3.8 lakh weddings to take place in various parts of the country this year. As such, this wedding season can witness a tremendous growth in business and the total business is expected to exceed Rs 4.74 lakh crore.
More than 4 lakh weddings will take place in Delhi.
CAT General Secretary Parveen Khandelwal said that this wedding season, more than 4 lakh weddings are expected to take place in the capital city of Delhi alone. In this case, a total business of more than 1.25 lakh crore rupees is expected through this. Along with this, he also said that the business is expected to be Rs 1 lakh crore more this wedding season than last year. In such a situation, it is very good from an economic point of view.
