New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved another major achievement. ISRO gave this information through a tweet. In another experiment, Chandrayaan-3’s propulsion module was brought from lunar orbit to Earth orbit, another achievement, ISRO said. ISRO says that this will facilitate the process of returning to Earth from the Moon and we are working on such missions in the future. ISRO is working on upcoming missions, for which software is being developed. Chandrayaan 3’s propulsion module has returned to Earth orbit after successfully completing its mission. This is a huge leap in India’s ability not only to launch new missions but also to recall them.

The historic moon landing on August 23

About the Vikram lander, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said that Chandrayaan-3’s propulsion module has now been brought back into Earth orbit after orbiting the Moon. The primary objective of the Chandrayaan 3 mission was to perform a soft landing near the south polar region of the Moon. Along with this, experiments were to be conducted using instruments on the Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover. We inform you that this space mission was launched on July 14, 2023 on the LVM3-M4 vehicle from SDSC, SHAR. On August 23, the Vikram lander made its historic landing on the Moon and the Pragyaan rover was subsequently deployed.

Upcoming missions are being worked on.

ISRO said the scientific instruments in the lander and rover operated continuously for 1 lunar day as per the planned mission. The Chandrayaan 3 mission objectives have been fully accomplished. The Propulsion Module is currently orbiting the Earth and on November 22, it crossed an altitude of 1.54 lakh km. The orbital period is about 13 days, ISRO said. ISRO said the experience of bringing the propulsion module back to Earth from lunar orbit would be beneficial for future mission plans. The mission will then include a return to Earth from the Moon. Software for this module is currently being developed. It is still in its early stages.
