Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, while replying to a question on MNREGA in Parliament on Tuesday, said that the details of the funds released by the central government under MNREGA in the financial year 2023-24 have been presented. He said that in this financial year till November 29, 2023, the government has released a fund of Rs 66,629 crore under MGNREGA.

State Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that the government had earlier allocated Rs 60,000 crore under the scheme to boost employment in rural areas this year, which was later increased by Rs 10,000 crore.
