However, after these reports came to light, India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has stated that all the reports appearing in the media are misleading and false. The government has said there is no link between the cases of the bacteria found at Delhi’s AIIMS and the pneumonia outbreak in China.

Symptoms of pneumonia include phlegm and dry cough, difficulty breathing, chills and fever. A pneumonia outbreak in China is causing high fever without cough.
