Arjun Munda, a minister in PM Modi’s cabinet, will be given the charge of agriculture and farmers’ welfare in addition to his current portfolio. Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje will be given the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Food Processing Industry in addition to her current portfolio. Minister of State Rajiv Chandrasekhar will be given the charge of Minister of State in Jal Shakti Ministry in addition to his existing portfolios. Meanwhile, Minister of State Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar will be given the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in addition to his current portfolio.

Resignation of members of assembly accepted

President of India Draupadi Murmu has accepted the resignations of BJP MPs Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahalad Singh Patel and Renuka Singh Sarwata as advised by the Prime Minister. It has been reported that these MPs have been immediately removed from the Union Council of Ministers under Clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution.

Party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that the swearing-in ceremony of the new government will be held in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.
