CM Bhajanlal took a shocking decision.

Jaipur: The Bhajan Lal government of Rajasthan has taken a big decision this time. The government has closed the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Dosta Internship Program’ in the state. Let us tell you that earlier this scheme was started by the Ashok Gehlot government, which has now been decided to be discontinued by the Bhajan Lal government of Rajasthan. As per the instructions issued by the government, this scheme will be completely closed after 31st December 2023.

Ashok Gehlot replied.

Now former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has expressed his opposition to this decision of Rajasthan government by posting on social media platform X. He wrote on Twitter that it is not appropriate to terminate the services of around 5000 youth working under the Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Dosta Internship Program to bring government schemes to every home. These youth are aware of the government schemes and are helping the government a lot.

If the name was a problem, we would have done it

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot further wrote that if the new government had a problem with the name of the scheme, Rajiv Gandhi could have renamed the service centers after Atal Bihari Vajpayee. While the people of the state know that in the previous regime our government had increased the salaries of the panchayat assistants appointed temporarily by the BJP government and made them permanent. With such positive thinking, the new government should also continue the Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitra Internship Programme.

About the scheme

In fact, the Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitra Internship Program was started in Rajasthan during the Ashok Gehlot regime. This scheme was launched in the year 2021. Under this scheme, the government selected eligible youths and provided them an opportunity to do internship for six months in various fields. Also, after completing the internship, the youth were given certificates. Also, if the performance of a candidate is good, his/her internship period can also be extended. Under this scheme there was an opportunity to do internship for a maximum period of two years.
