Gold and silver prices in Delhi witnessed a steep fall on Friday. Gold fell by Rs 350 to Rs 63,950 per 10 grams at the national capital’s bullion market on Friday. HDFC Securities reported this. Gold had closed at Rs 64,300 per 10 grams in the last trading session. Silver also declined by Rs 1,000 to Rs 78,500 per kg. While silver closed at Rs 79,500 per kg in its last trading session.

Gold in MCX Futures Trading

According to the news, the price of the February gold contract in MCX futures trading fell by Rs 244 to Rs 63 thousand 145 per 10 grams. Also, the March silver contract fell by Rs 1,166 to Rs 73,793 per kg. Gold fell to $2070 per ounce in international markets. Silver also fell to $23.80 per ounce.

Due to these reasons, the price of gold also fell.

Gold spot on Comex was trading at US$2,070 an ounce, down by US$10 from the previous closing level in the international market. Comex gold fell as traders booked profits after gold touched a three-week high in the previous session, said Somal Gandhi, senior commodity analyst at HDFC Securities. Gandhi said that the strength of the dollar and the rise in US bond yields also led to a decline in gold prices.

Silver price in futures trading

Silver fell by Rs 694 to Rs 74,265 per kg in futures trade on Friday due to reduced deal sizes. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the silver contract for delivery in March 2024 fell by Rs 694, or 0.93 percent, to Rs 74,265 a kg. 14,868 lots were traded in it.
