‘Developed India’, country full of self-reliance spirit, momentum to be maintained in 2024: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the country is full of spirit of developed India and self-reliance and this spirit and momentum has to be maintained in 2024 as well. In the 108th episode of All India Radio’s monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Modi also laid emphasis on physical and mental health and highlighted several unique efforts for ‘Fit India’. During the telecast, Isha Foundation founder Sidhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, chess legend Viswanathan Anand and actor Akshay Kumar revealed the secret of their good health. Modi said, “Today, every corner of India is full of confidence. This country is imbued with the spirit of developed India and self-reliance.

We have to maintain the same spirit and momentum in 2024 as well.” He also said that India becoming the hub of innovation is a sign of the fact that the country is not going to stand still. Today we are at number 40.” The Prime Minister mentioned the achievements of the country in various fields in the year 2023 including the success of Chandrayaan-3 and wished the compatriots a Happy New Year. Referring to the ‘record business’ on Diwali, Modi said that every Indian today is giving importance to the mantra of ‘Vakal for Local’. He said that on the strength of 140 crore Indians, India achieved many milestones this year, including the success of Chandrayaan-3 and the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill in Parliament.

Modi mentioned the song Natu-Natu from the film ‘RRR’ and the Oscar-winning short documentary ‘The Elephant Whispers’ and said that through them the world saw India’s creativity and understood its connection with the environment. The Prime Minister said that when India develops, the youth will benefit the most and if they stay healthy, it will be more. Modi referred to the recently concluded Kashi Tamil Sangam and said that during the event he used the artificial intelligence tool ‘Bhasini’ for the first time. He said that with its help the people of Tamil Nadu could listen to his speech in Tamil at the same time.

Modi said, “The day is not far when a speech will be delivered in one and the people will be able to hear that speech immediately.” . Keeping the Panch Purana in mind we have to work continuously for the development of India. He said that there is no better mantra than ‘Nation First’ and following this mantra the country has to be developed and self-reliant. Sharing the audio of Akshay’s remarks during Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi said in a post on Twitter, “I totally agree with Akshay Kumar when he says there are no shortcuts to being fit.” He also emphasizes on eating good food and eating pure food to stay healthy.
