Nitish government will give assistance of Rs 2 lakh to 94 lakh families, approved in the cabinet

Patna: An important decision was approved in a cabinet meeting held today in Bihar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The state government will provide assistance of Rs 2 lakh to about 94 lakh families of the state. Although the Chief Minister had already announced this, the decision was approved in the cabinet meeting today.

The announcement was made after the caste-based census.

In fact, after the caste census conducted a few months back, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced that poor families in the state would be given a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh by the state government. The caste-based census found 9.4 lakh families whose monthly income is less than Rs 6,000.

Approval of 18 agenda in the cabinet

According to reports, a total of 18 agendas were decided in the cabinet meeting today. Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme was approved for the economic development of poor families of different sections of the state under the Industries Department.

Under the Chief Minister Extremely Backward Class Civil Services Incentive Scheme under the Department of Backward Classes and Very Backward Classes Welfare, the candidates who qualify in various examinations will be given incentive money at a fixed rate. For which an annual expenditure of 9 crore 79 lakh 50 thousand rupees was approved.

Incentive amount of Rs.75 thousand

75,000 will be given as incentive to successful candidates in competitive examinations conducted by the Union People’s Service Commission such as Indian Engineering Service, Indian Economic Service, Indian Statistical Service and Combined Geological Examination.

50,000 Incentive amount will be given to candidates from most backward class who clear CDS, CBI, CAPF, NDA exams. An incentive amount of Rs.50 thousand will also be given for clearing the preliminary examination of Bihar Judicial Service.
