In which 2 from Kurmi caste, 2 from Bhumihar caste, 1 from Rajput, 1 from Yadav, 1 from OBC and 1 from Mahadalt caste have been made ministers. After being sworn in as Chief Minister, Nitish announced that the new cabinet would be expanded soon. He said that we have worked with BJP before and we will do it this time too, we will not let this decision taken in the interest of Bihar go in vain.

Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, appointed in the new government, is the Bihar state president of the BJP. He comes from the Koori caste.
