A child trapped in a borewell in Gujarat’s Jamnagar has been successfully rescued. A two-year-old child fell into a borewell on Tuesday evening. 108 medical team, fire team and entire administrative team of Jamnagar rescued the child safely from the borewell after 9 hours of rescue. A two-year-old boy named Raju was brought to the city’s GG Hospital for treatment.

Parents are natives of Madhya Pradesh.

The Lalpur taluk health officer and a team of 108 took the child to the hospital in an ambulance. The child is being treated in the pediatric ICU of GG Hospital, Jamnagar city. The parents of Raju, the child trapped in the borewell, are from Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in Tamchan village, about 40 km from Jamnagar city. Here a tribal family works in a field.

The army was also called to the spot.

The child fell into a borewell in the field on Saturday evening. After receiving information from the villagers, the local administration was alerted. After that, the fire brigade personnel started the rescue operation. The army was also summoned on the occasion. It is being told that the child’s parents had come to Jamnagar from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh 15 days ago for labour. The couple has two children.
