The recent riots in Banbholpura area of Haldwani in Uttarakhand have shaken the entire country. Here, a municipal corporation team that went to free government land from encroachment and a deadly attack on the police followed widespread violence and arson. The situation was such that the police had to impose a curfew and orders were issued to shoot the rioters. Now Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a big announcement about this whole issue. The Chief Minister has said that a police station will be built on the land freed from encroachment in Banbholpura area.
What did CM Dhami say?
Participating in the Nari Shakti Mahotsav, CM Dhami said that the manner in which women police officers and other police personnel and journalists were attacked by anarchist elements cannot be condemned enough. The CM said that several acres of garden land in Banbholpura has been freed from encroachment. Dhami added, “Today I announce from the holy banks of the Mother Ganga that a police station will be built at this place.”
Police action continues
Six people were killed in the violence in Banbholpura area of Haldwani. Along with this, more than 100 people were injured. The police are continuously campaigning to arrest the accused of this violence. Many accused have also been arrested. CM Dhami has said that this type of act will not be tolerated in Uttarakhand at any cost and the police is working continuously to arrest the masterminds of this conspiracy. The Chief Minister has said that the law is doing its job. Who was behind this conspiracy will soon be brought before the public.
