Patna: A police team had gone to Bihar capital Patna to attach the house of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s brother-in-law. Meanwhile, Lalu Yadav’s brother-in-law Subhash Yadav surrendered in the court. After that, the police team stopped the attachment process and went back. Let us tell you that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s brother-in-law Subhash Yadav has also been a former MP. A case related to land grabbing and extortion was registered against them.

One year old case

Actually, the entire case is of Bela village in Newra police station area in Behta of Patna. Last year on May 4, 2023, Bhim Verma filed a case against Lalu Prasad’s brother-in-law and former MP Subhash Yadav for land grabbing and extortion. 7 people including former MP Subhash Yadav, his wife Renu Devi and son were made accused in this case. The main accused in this was former MP Subhash Yadav. Subhash Yadav was absconding in this case. After several warnings, the court heard the case and ordered the house to be attached.

Police along with JCB arrived to seize him.

After receiving the court’s order, the police reached Subhash Yadav’s house in Rajabazar, Patna with a JCB machine and seized it. As soon as former MP Subhash Yadav was informed of the connection, he surrendered in the MP-MLA court. After the surrender of former MP Subhash Yadav, the MP-MLA Court has sent him to judicial custody. After that, the police team came to confiscate and stopped the operation and went back.

Subhash Yadav was absconding.

Regarding the entire matter, Danapur ASP Ms. Deeksha said that former MLA Subhash Yadav, the prime accused in the case registered at Behta police station as part of Patna police’s drive against land mafia, is absconding. In this case, on the order of the court, the police team went to attach his house. Meanwhile, the police team received information that the former member of the assembly has surrendered in the court. After that we stopped the operation and the police team came back.
