The police have taken great action in the Sandishakhli sexual violence case of West Bengal. Police have arrested 18 people including TMC leader Shiv Prasad Hazara. Shivprasad Hazara will be produced in court today after being arrested. SPHM Rehman of Bashirhat said on Saturday (February 17) that the police had not received any complaint against Trinamool leader Shahjahan Sheikh. Meanwhile, TMC leader Shiv Prasad Hazara has been arrested. Police said that a total of 18 people have been arrested in this case so far.

Earlier, the police had arrested the accused Uttam Sardar, but TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh is reportedly still absconding. Along with the arrest of Shiv Prasad Hazara, two of the three main accused in this case have been arrested.

According to news agency PTI, local Trinamool Congress leader Shiv Prasad Hazara has been arrested from Sandishakhli. In the complaints filed with the police, Hazara has been named as an accused in the torture case along with his party colleague and two main accused Shahjahan Sheikh and Uttam Sardar. Also SP Rehman of Bashirhat also said that based on the complaints received in this matter, investigation is going on and more police force has been deployed in each Gram Panchayat.

TMC leader Shiv Prasad Hazara will be produced in a local court on Sunday (February 18) in the Sandishakhli case. “We have arrested Shivprasad Hazara from Sandishakhli this evening and he will be produced in court tomorrow,” said an officer from Najat police station.
