Out of 30 shares of Sensex, 10 shares were on green mark and 20 shares were on red mark at the time of market closing. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed down 0.64 percent or 141 points at 22,055. At market close, out of 50 shares in Nifty, 11 shares were seen trading on green signal, 37 shares on red signal and 2 shares were seen trading unchanged.

Tata Steel, SBI, IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel and Sun Pharma were the top gainers in the Nifty Pack on Wednesday. While BPCL, NTPC, Coal India, Power Grid and Wipro recorded the highest decline.

Status of Sectoral Index

Talking about the sectoral indices, Nifty Realty rose by 2 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.60 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.26 percent and Nifty FMCG by 0.02 percent on Wednesday. At the same time, Nifty Media recorded the highest decline of 4.91%. Apart from this 1.64% in Nifty IT, 1.44% in Nifty Oil & Gas, 0.26% in Nifty Consumer Durables, 0.43% in Nifty Healthcare Index, 0.38% in Nifty Private Bank, 0.40% in Nifty Pharma, 0.80% in Nifty Financials. Percent services, Nifty Bank declined by 0.16 percent and Nifty Auto by 0.50 percent.

Upper circuit in paytm

Shares of Paytm closed on the upper circuit on Wednesday. Shares of Paytm’s parent company One 97 Communication Ltd rose 5 percent or Rs 18.80 to close at Rs 395.25 on Wednesday. This share was open only on upper circuit today. Along with this, the market cap of the company has reached to Rs 25,104.20 crore.
