Lok Sabha Election 2024: Karnataka is an important state of the country. The state has a total of 28 Lok Sabha constituencies and 224 assembly seats. The Congress government came here in the elections held last year. The Congress had ousted the BJP government from power. One of these 28 Lok Sabha seats is Bengaluru South, which is considered a very important seat.

Since the formation of this seat in 1977, a Congress candidate has won only once. The seat was held by the Janata Party from 1977 to 1984. After that, in the 1989 elections, Congress’s R. Gundu Rao won. Then the winning streak of senior BJP leader late Ananth Kumar began in a way that lasted a lifetime.

Currently, BJP’s Tejaswi Surya is the MP from here, who is also the national president of the party’s Yuva Morcha. Surya is considered a very dynamic leader. He got 739229 votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. There, Congress candidate Baik Hariprasad got only 408037 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party KA is third. There was Raju who could not even save his bail. He got only 3864 votes.
