The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Summer Festival will rock with ‘Lapata Ladies’.

IFFM Summer Fest: The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne recently announced the launch of its 15th year of celebrations. After the success of the first Summer Festival, IFFM has now announced the launch of its second Summer Festival.

Karan Rao’s ‘Lapata Ladies’ will rock IFFM.
We inform you that this event will start from 29th February and will continue till 2nd March. The festival will be inaugurated with Kiran Rao’s upcoming film ‘Lapata Ladies’. Let us tell you that this film will be released in theaters on March 1. Ahead of its release, it will premiere at an Australian festival on February 29. Directed by Karan Rao, the film was recently screened at the World Toronto International Film Festival where the film was well received.

Speaking about this, Karan Rao said, ‘It is a great honor to be the inaugural film at IFFM for Missing Women. I am very happy and also very excited. For this I would like to express my sincere gratitude to IFFM. I hope the audience in Melbourne will like this film. I will also get a chance to visit this city soon.

Expressing his excitement for the IFFM Summer Festival, festival director Meetu Bhowmick said, “Missing Ladies will be the first film in the summer edition of the festival this year, directed by Kiran Rao. Very excited about it. Celebrating layered human relationships, women and the unexpected complexities we face in life. It’s our ongoing effort to celebrate Indian films throughout the year and we’re proud of Karan’s remarkable work. Excited to make the film the first film of the summer.
