Prime Minister Modi announced.

First, let’s talk about the new rooftop solar scheme i.e. PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme. The scheme was first announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January. Subsequently, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the scheme while presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha on February 1. Under this scheme, a target of installing solar panels on roofs of one crore houses has been set.

Both the people and the government benefit

Both common people and government are going to benefit from this scheme. While common people can free up their electricity bills by generating solar power on their rooftops and thereby save thousands of rupees every month, the government has to promote renewable energy, especially solar power, in the country. Production needs to be ensured. It can help you achieve your goal. Generating more electricity from solar energy will help the country become self-sufficient in its energy needs.

The subsidy will be up to 78 thousand rupees.

The Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday approved the subsidy under this ambitious scheme. According to an official statement, the government will provide a subsidy of Rs 30,000 for a 1 kW solar panel system.
