The stock market also opened in the red on the first business day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s benchmark Sensex opened at 72491.03, down 152.4 points at 9.15 am. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was also seen trading down 61.45 points at 21961.90. In the Nifty, gains were seen in M&M, Tata Steel, NTPC, Axis Bank and HCL Tech. While Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Grasom, Power Grid Corporation and Asian Paints showed a declining trend. Around 1411 shares were bullish in early trade. While the prices of 977 shares decreased.

This reversal happened in a few minutes.

Domestic stock markets fell at the open and then returned to the green. The Sensex was seen trading up 50.1 points at 72693.53 at 9.32 am. Similarly, Nifty was also trading at the level of 22024.40 with a green mark of 1.05 points. But a few minutes later, at 9.36 am, the Sensex again fell by 124.74 points and was seen trading at 72518.69. The Nifty was also trading down 56 points at 21967.35.

A new low of 21500 is expected

According to a Money Control report, market experts say that if the Nifty goes below 21,900, it may move to a new low of 21,500 in some time. Nifty’s short-term and near-term sentiments are weak. This is not a good sign. The market has been in a continuous downward trend since recent sessions. It is expected to remain in a negative and limited range in the coming sessions as well. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks have taken huge hits in recent sessions. Investors have lost a lot of capital.
