Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi has been diagnosed with cancer. Sushil Modi on Wednesday said that he has been battling cancer for the past 6 months. Now I thought it was time to tell people. I will not be able to do anything in the Lok Sabha elections. Everything in this regard has been told to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I will always be grateful and will always be dedicated to the country, Bihar and the party.

The BJP has included Sushil Modi in its 27-member election manifesto committee headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister Piyush Goyal are the convener and co-convener respectively. He has been the Deputy Chief Minister in the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in the state. The party also sent him to the Rajya Sabha. whose term has expired recently.

Elections for 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will be held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1. BJP is contesting the election along with JDU, Chirag Paswan’s LJP, HAM and Upendra Kushwaha’s party. The seats have also been distributed. BJP got 17 seats, JDU got 16 seats and Chirag Paswan’s party got 5 seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party and Upendra Kushwaha’s party got one seat each. In the last Lok Sabha elections, NDA won 39 out of 40 seats. Congress could win only one seat. RJD’s account is not even opened.
