Wayanad: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination papers from Wayanad on Wednesday. During this time, his sister Priyanka Gandhi was also present. Before filing nomination papers, he started a road show from Kalpatta. During the roadshow, Rahul Gandhi said that “there is an issue of human-animal conflict, there is an issue of the medical college, I stand with the people of Wayanad in this fight, we have tried to put pressure on the government. The college has written to the CM but unfortunately he has not moved forward, I am sure if our government is formed in Delhi and our government is formed in Kerala, we will resolve these issues.

He said this to the voters.

Rahul Gandhi said, “It is an honor to be your Member of Parliament. I do not treat or think of you as a voter. I treat you as such and your I think of the same as I think of my younger sister Priyanka. I have sisters, mother, father and brother in Wayanad homes and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretaries KC Venugopal and Deepa Das, AICC student wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar, opposition in the state assembly VD Satisan and Working President of KPCC (Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee). MM Hassan also participated in the road show. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi secured 7,06,367 votes out of a total of 10,92,197 votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, while his nearest rival PP Sunir of the Communist Party of India got only 2,74,597 votes. Voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala this year will be held on April 26.
