Congress today held talks to finalize candidates for the three Delhi seats for the Lok Sabha elections. In Delhi, the Congress is contesting the election in alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP has given 3 seats to Congress in Delhi. Congress has to field its candidates from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, North East and North West Lok Sabha seats. Congress CEC has discussed the names of these 3 seats today. According to sources, Kanhaiya Kumar’s name was also discussed in this meeting but then it was removed.

Let us tell you that out of the total 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party had announced candidates for 4 in the early weeks of March. But the Congress is yet to announce the names of its candidates for the 3 Lok Sabha seats. If sources are to be believed, the name of Arvinder Singh Lolly for the North East Lok Sabha seat was discussed in the CEC meeting today. The names of Udit Raj, Surendra Kumar and Rajkumar Chauhan were considered for the North West Lok Sabha seat. There, the names of JP Aggarwal, Alka Lamba and Sandeep Dixit have been discussed on the Chandni Chowk set.

Why was Kanhaiya Kumar’s name removed?

Sources also said that Kanhaiya Kumar’s name for the North-East Lok Sabha seat was also discussed at the Congress meeting, but some leaders said that if Kanhaiya was nominated, the BJP would be a ‘fragmentary gang’. can make a narrative.
