All-round benefits from Apple, millions of people will now find homes after jobs.

Apple’s launch of manufacturing of various products in India is starting to have a massive impact. Many Apple products, including the iPhone, are now manufactured in India. Because of this lakhs of people have already got direct employment. Now a large number of people are going to get houses.

The houses will be built on the model of the People’s Party.

An ET report has quoted government officials as saying that preparations are now underway for industrial housing in Apple’s ecosystem. Under this, various contract manufacturers of Apple including Foxconn, Tata Electronics, Salcomp are planning to build houses for their respective employees. These houses will be built according to Public Private Partnership i.e. PPP model.

The largest scheme of its kind

In fact, the concept of industrial housing applies wherever Apple products are manufactured. It has been seen in China and Vietnam before India. Apple’s contract manufacturers in both countries built large-scale housing for their employees. Now preparations for the same are going on in India. It is being told that the scale of houses to be built under the PPP model will be so wide that it has not been seen before. That means it will be India’s largest housing scheme on PPP model.

These states benefit the most.

According to the report, more than 78 thousand houses will be built under this scheme. Of these, Tamil Nadu is going to benefit the most. About 58,000 houses are to be constructed under this scheme in Tamil Nadu alone. Most of the houses are being built by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu. Houses are also being built by Tata Group and SPR India.

This is how the cost will be calculated.

10-15% of the cost of houses constructed under this scheme will be provided by the central government. The rest of the cost will be borne by state governments and companies. Construction is expected to be handed over to the private sector in this financial year. This will be very helpful for thousands of migrant workers working with Apple’s contract manufacturers. Earlier in the news, it was claimed that more than 1.5 lakh direct job opportunities have been created in the country due to the Apple ecosystem.
