Ranjith said, “When I entered the studio (RK Studio), I saw life-size cut-outs of all the actresses who had worked in Raj Kapoor’s films. As soon as Raj Kapoor got there, he said, ‘Excuse me. Do it, Ronnie!’ She was very good-looking. Her complexion was fair and her cheeks red. “Her eyes were bright.”

Ranjith also made a shocking revelation about Raj Kapoor. The actor said, “Raj Kapoor showed me the album of the film Mera Naam Joker and told me that he explained the scene with the heroine of the film sitting on his lap. He did not flirt while doing this. When he would ask the actress to sit on his lap, he would call her ‘Pitra’.

The film was directed by Raj Kapoor himself. ‘Mira Naam Joker’ is considered as one of the most famous films of Raj Kapoor. In this film, Rishi Kapoor played the role of young Raj Kapoor and also excelled in acting.

It took 6 years to make this film. It is said that Raj Kapoor had to mortgage his house to make ‘Mera Naam Joker’. When the film was released in theatres, it failed to impress the audience. However, it later became a popular film in Hindi cinema. The songs of this film are still on people’s lips.
