Country Amid growing demand for spiritual tourism in India, Thomas Cook India and its group company SOTC Travel have launched helicopter darshans of Adi Kailash and Om Pravat in Uttarakhand. The company on Wednesday announced a partnership with the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in this regard. The price of this five-day spiritual journey has been fixed at Rs 90,000 per passenger. It is subsidized by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board. The base camp of this spiritual journey will be Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.

Each group will have 14 people.

The darshan process will start from the second day. On the second day, you will have darshan of Manukumana temple and on the third day, you will have darshan of Adi Kailash and Om Parut. Each group of this trip will consist of 14 people. The package includes helicopter access to Adi Kailash and Om Pravat, an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) to the Parvati Sarovar temple and catering, Thomas Cook India said in a statement.

100% increase in spiritual tourism

Rajeev Kale, President and Country Head, Holidays, Visa, Thomas Cook (India) Ltd. said, “Our aim is to redefine spiritual tourism in India by highlighting the lesser-explored sacred sites.” Figures from Cook and SOTC show that spiritual tourism in the country is growing at a rate of 100 percent on an annual basis.

Visiting temples is also providing this facility.

Helicopter tours of Adi Kailash and Om Pravat are also being conducted by Trip to Temples. This journey has started from April 1. Traditionally, to attain the divine presence of Lord Shiva and Parvati in Adi Kailash or the awe-inspiring sight of Om Pravat, pilgrims had to traverse difficult paths and walk for days to reach them.
