West Bengal NMMS Results: The Directorate of School Education, West Bengal has declared the results of the National Men’s-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE 2023-24) for Class VIII. The result has been released on the official website. All the candidates who appeared in this exam can check and download their result by visiting the official website scholarship.wbsed.gov.in. The examination authority has uploaded the district wise selection list on its official website.

How to check

Candidates can check and download their result by following the steps given below.

  • First of all candidates visit the official website Scholars.wbsed.gov.in.
  • After that click on the notification link which says, ‘NMMSE-2023 Selected Candidates District Wise List’.
  • After that, the list of selected candidates from all the districts will appear on the screen.
  • Then click on the relevant result link.
  • After that a PDF will appear on the screen which contains roll number, candidate name, quota, school name, school address etc.
  • Then download and save NMMSE-2023 Result PDF for future reference.

Before announcing the result, the examination authority had released the provisional answer key and invited objections from students till December 26. The feedback received from the students was taken into consideration in preparing the final answer key.

What is NMMS?

Refers to the National Men’s Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination. It is organized every year by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It was started in 2008 after getting approval from CCEA, to provide scholarships to meritorious students from economically weaker sections to encourage them to continue their education at secondary level. NMMS is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme for students whose parents’ income is less than ₹3.5 lakh per annum.
