Iran has seized an Israeli ship near the Strait of Hormuz. After receiving information about the presence of 17 Indians on this plane, the Ministry of External Affairs of India became active and now the Foreign Minister of Iran has also made a statement on this matter. Regarding the issue, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said that Indian officials would be allowed to meet the 17 Indians on board the cargo ship.

‘PM Modi’s guarantee works in foreign countries too’

He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee works not only within the country but also abroad.

The Modi government evacuated 22,500 Indians from war-torn Ukraine under Operation Ganga. Similarly, under Operation Kaveri, more than 3,800 Indians stranded in Sudan were evacuated in 2023. After the Taliban took over Afghanistan, in the year 2021, around 1200 people were safely repatriated under Operation Devi Shakti. Among these persons were 206 Afghans belonging to the Afghan Hindu/Sikh minority community.

India also planted flags in ‘Vande Bharat Mission’.

When war broke out in Yemen in 2015 between the government and the Houthi rebels, around 5,600 people were evacuated under the Modi government’s Operation Rahat. In February 2019, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was brought back safely from Pakistan. Along with this, millions of Indians were brought back to their homeland under the Vande Bharat Mission during the Corona epidemic. After the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, the government launched Operation Maitri. Under this, more than 5000 Indians returned home safely in a joint operation by the Army and Air Force.
