On the completion of exactly 25 years, Pushpinder Saroj has entered the political arena as a Samajwadi Party candidate from Kushambi parliamentary seat. He is the son of five-time MLA and former UP Cabinet Minister Inderjit Saroj. Born on March 1, 1999, Pushpendra is the youngest of three elder sisters.

“The biggest problem facing the youth and common people today is unemployment and inflation and youth participation,” says Pushpinder, who did his schooling at Welham Boys School in Dehradun before moving to London to pursue a BSc in accounting and management. was completed. Politics is essential to effectively address these issues. I am determined to take up these issues effectively in Parliament if elected.”

Pushpinder is a great advocate of youth entering the political arena to serve the country. He said that unless the youth enter politics, how can they hope to bring change. They should solve their own problems and focus on areas like water supply, sanitation, electricity and infrastructure development. I strongly believe in inclusion and justice for all sections of society, as taught to me by my father, who has been instrumental in shaping my political ideology.” Pushpinder says politics is not a profession for him. Rather, it is a public service.

SP leaders say that Pushpinder’s candidature is another indication that the party is preferring young leaders who are better in tune with the aspirations and issues of the youth.

Being a senior leader of the Pasi community, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has not reduced his stature. The SP also made him the party’s national general secretary.

In the year 2019, SP fielded Inderjit Saroj as its Lok Sabha candidate from Kushambi but he was defeated by BJP’s Vinod Sonkar in the election. After that, Inderjit Saroj had contested the assembly election in 2022 from Manjhanpur seat on SP ticket. He won this election. Now SP has given ticket to his son Pushpinder Saroj.
