Vodafone Idea raises Rs 5,400 crore from anchor investors, FPO to open on April 18 – India TV Hindi

Telecom major Vodafone-Idea (VI) has received strong response from anchor investors. The company said the anchor book opened ahead of the follow-on public offering (FPO) has participation from a number of major investors, including leading global and domestic investors. The company has raised around Rs 5,400 crore from these investors. It may be the third largest anchor book after One97 Communications and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). One97 Communications and LIC had raised Rs 8,235 crore and Rs 5,627 crore respectively in the anchor round.

490 crore shares were allotted to the investors.

In a disclosure to the stock market on Wednesday, the company said it has allotted 490.9 crore shares to 74 funds at a rate of Rs 11 per share. This took the transaction volume to Rs 5,400 crore. Let us tell you that the company’s FPO is opening for retail investors from April 18.

These investors, including GQG, invested money

Major investors subscribing to Anchorbook include GQG Partners, UBS, Morgan Stanley India Investment Fund, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, etc., the company said. Apart from these, shares were allotted to domestic investors in the anchor round including Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, SBI General Insurance and Quant Mutual Fund.

According to Vodafone-Idea, the capital raising committee of its board of directors has approved the allotment of 4,90,90,90,908 equity shares of the company to anchor investors on April 16, 2024. Earlier, Vodafone-Idea’s board of directors had approved a follow-on public offer (FPO) of equity shares worth up to Rs 18,000 crore. The company said last Friday that the FPO will open on April 18 and close on April 22. The price range for this has been fixed at Rs 10-11 per equity share.
